An opportunity to ENTER Regional Productivity Awards 2012!
Productivity SA regional awards will take place in several provinces during the year as a build up to the annual National Productivity Awards. The National Productivity Awards are scheduled for the month of October which has been dubbed “Productivity Month”.
If your company is based in Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Western Cape, Eastern Cape or KwaZulu-Natal, then you are invited to participate in the 2012 Regional Productivity Awards.

The prestigious Productivity Awards honour organisations for their contribution to building South Africa’s productive capacity. The Productivity Awards are open to private and public sector organisations. Professional bodies and associations and local authorities are eligible to enter. The entries are divided into corporate, public sector, emerging businesses and Co - operatives. This year all award nominees will receive recognition certificates and in addition, one gold award will be available per category for Corporate, Public Sector, Emerging businesses and Co-operatives.
The Regional winners will be automatically entered in to the National competition in all four categories. Entries are short-listed according to a rating system and nominees are selected after evaluation based on impact achieved from productivity and its sustainability.
Productivity awards will be issued in the following categories:
• Corporate
• Registered Co-operatives that have been in existence for more than 18 months
• Public Sector (i.e. state-owned enterprises, national, provincial and local authorities)
• Emerging Businesses/Entrepreneurs (owner/manager-controlled, a maximum of 400 employees
Aspects that are judged include:
• The company’s aims in its implementation of productivity programmes
• Were the objectives for productivity improvement clear?
• The extent of management / labour involvement
• Results and impact of the productivity improvements
• People results – such as employee performance and recognition
• Customer results – returns/complaints from customers, satisfaction index
• Operational results, including the benefits to the broader community

· Corporate Sector: Adcock Ingram Critical Care
· Public Sector: Limpopo Department of Roads and Transport
· Emerging Sector: Limpopo Lumber
