Overview of Annual Report
Over the past three years, Productivity SA’s interventions has protected over 10 000 jobs; and in the next year this figure should exceed 12000, in addition to expanding to create 7 500 new work opportunities. This fulfils government’s aims of Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative of South Africa – ASGISA – tasked with halving unemployment and poverty by 2014.
 
Highlights of 2005/2006 Annual Report
The Social Plan programme is a Department of Labour project, managed by Productivity SAThe aim of the Social Plan is not only to prevent a decline in the country’s employment levels in organisations and sectors which are in distress, but also to create employment in areas affected by job losses. This is achieved through turnaround and redeployment strategies.
